About this banknote
The National Bank of Ukraine issued the 100,000 karbovantsiv banknote in 1994. This denomination was introduced into circulation on October 7, 1994, and was withdrawn on September 17, 1996.
The obverse features the Saint Volodymyr Monument in Kyiv, depicting Prince Volodymyr the Great holding a cross. The reverse displays the facade of the National Bank of Ukraine building. This banknote was the first of its denomination to be produced entirely at the Banknote and Mint of the NBU in Kyiv.
