About this banknote
The 10 Krooni note was issued by the "Eesti Pank" (Bank of Estonia) in 1940. This series was introduced during a period when Estonia maintained its national currency, the kroon, between 1928 and 1940 as part of its monetary policy to strengthen its economy post-independence.
The front side of the banknote features a woman holding a sickle and wheat, symbolizing agriculture. The back side displays the Estonian coat of arms with three lions. This specific note, Pick 68, was part of the last series of krooni before the Soviet occupation of Estonia, which led to the currency being replaced.
