About this banknote
The "Eesti Vabariigi Kassatäht" issued the 1 Kroon note as part of its 1935 series. This series was introduced during the First Estonian Kroon period, initiated to stabilize the economy and replace the earlier mark currency. The transition to the Kroon was essential for the economic independence of Estonia during this period.
The front of the note features ornate floral designs and an image of a neoclassical building, with inscriptions prominently displaying "Üks Kroon" and "Sada Marka." The reverse side continues with floral motifs and the denomination "100" in decorative cartouches. The Pick number for this note is 61, indicative of its cataloguing for collectors and historians.
