About this banknote
The Ukrainian People's Republic issued this 3 Hryvni 60 Shahiv note in 1918. This denomination was created by cutting out an interest coupon from a 200 Hryvni bond certificate (Pick 14). The bond certificates were authorized on March 30, 1918, and were intended to yield 3.6% simple interest per annum, with semiannual payments.
The front side of the note features the design of the original bond's interest coupon, with inscriptions detailing the interest amount and payment date. The note is printed in blue and brown colors. These coupons were redeemable on specified dates, with the first redemption date being July 1, 1921.
