About this banknote
The State Treasury of Estonia issued the 10,000 Mark treasury bill in 1919 as part of the 5% Short-Term Obligations series. This series was introduced to address the financial needs of the newly independent Republic of Estonia following its declaration of independence in 1918.
The 10,000 Mark note is uniface, printed on one side only, and features a large decorative border. The note measures 209 millimeters in length and 135 millimeters in width. A proof specimen of this banknote is held in the British Museum's collection under the registration number 1938,0915.108.
