The Banco Central de Chile issued the 1000 pesos banknote (Pick 154e) in 1993. This series, first introduced in 1978, continued to circulate through the early 1990s. The 1993 issue features the signatures of Roberto Zahler Mayanz, President of the Central Bank (1991–1996), and Enrique Marshall Rivera, General Manager (1991–1994).
The obverse of the banknote displays a portrait of Ignacio Carrera Pinto in military uniform on the right, with military arms at the center.
