About this banknote
The Estonian Provisional Government issued the 100 Mark banknote in 1919 as part of the 5% Short-Term Obligations series. This series was introduced to establish a national currency following Estonia's declaration of independence in 1918.
The uniface note features a woman seated at a spinning wheel on the obverse. It was printed by Tilgmann Lithography in Finland and measures 155 x 93 mm.
