About this banknote
The Central Bank of Ceylon issued the 10 rupees banknote (Pick 74Aa) in 1973. This series was introduced following the establishment of the Republic of Sri Lanka on May 22, 1972, marking the country's transition from Ceylon to Sri Lanka.
The front of the note features the statue of King Parakramabahu I at right. The back depicts ceremonial figures. The watermark is a Chinze. The note measures 140 x 70 mm and was printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co.
