About this banknote
The Bank of Estonia (Eesti Pank) issued the 10 Krooni banknote in 2006 as part of the Second Estonian Kroon period (1992–2010). This series was introduced to enhance security features, including an updated watermark depicting Jakob Hurt.
The front of the note features a portrait of Jakob Hurt, an Estonian folklorist, theologian, and linguist. The reverse side displays the Tamme-Lauri oak tree located in Urvaste, Võrumaa. The banknote measures 140 x 70 mm and was printed by De La Rue.
