The National Bank of Romania issued the 500 lei banknote (Pick 22c) on February 12, 1920. This issuance was part of the 1909-1916 series, which was reissued between 1916 and 1920. The banknote was printed by Georges Duval, as indicated by the inscription "GEO. DUVAL FECIT" on both sides.
