The banknote is a 50 lira issued in Turkey in 1960. It is cataloged under Pick number 166. About this banknote
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyet Merkez Bankası) issued the 50 lira banknote on February 15, 1960, as part of the Fifth Emission Group. This series marked the return of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's portrait to Turkish banknotes, following its replacement during the Third and Fourth Emission Groups.
The obverse features a portrait of President Atatürk on the right side, with a reddish guilloche at the center. The reverse depicts a soldier from the Statue of Victory at Ulus Square in Ankara. The banknote measures 160 x 74 mm and has a watermark of Atatürk's portrait. It was printed by the Banknote Printing Plant and was demonetized on May 7, 1989.
