About this banknote
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issued the 5-dollar banknote in 1997 as part of the 1994-2004 "Chiremba Rocks" series. This series replaced earlier First Dollar banknotes issued from 1980 to 1994.
The obverse features the Chiremba Balancing Rocks in Epworth, accompanied by a royal dissotis flower and two greater kudus. The reverse depicts Mount Nyangani and two greater kudus. The banknote measures 139 x 68 mm and includes a watermark of the Zimbabwe Bird.
