About this banknote
The Central Bank of Bolivia issued the 5 bolivianos banknote in 1945, following the enactment of the law on December 20, 1945. This series was introduced into circulation in 1947.
The obverse features a portrait of Simón Bolívar on the right and the national coat of arms on the left. The reverse displays the coat of arms at the center. Printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited, the note measures 135 x 62 mm.
