About this banknote
The Republic of Estonia issued the Treasury Notes of 1919 under the authority of its Ministry of Finance. This series was introduced in 1919 as part of Estonia's efforts to establish its currency system following independence from Russia in 1918. The notes were aimed at stabilizing the economy and facilitating trade.
