The Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued the 20 Rupees banknote (Pick 109d) on November 19, 2005. This note is part of the 1995-2006 series, which introduced enhanced security features, including an enhanced latent image at the lower center.
The front of the note features a native bird mask at the right. The back depicts two youths fishing, accompanied by sea shells in a vertical format. The watermark is a Chinthe. The note measures 129 x 64 mm and was printed by Thomas De La Rue and Company Limited.
