About this banknote
The Banco Central de Venezuela issued the 20 bolívares banknote (Pick 91a) on March 20, 2007, as part of the introduction of the bolívar fuerte currency, which became legal tender on January 1, 2008. This series was printed by the Casa de la Moneda Venezuela.
The obverse features a portrait of Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi. The reverse displays the coat of arms of Venezuela, the Macanao Mountains, and two hawksbill turtles (Eretmochelys imbricata).
