The Bank of Italy issued the 100,000 Lire banknote (Pick 117) in 1994, with subsequent issues in 1995 and 1998. This series was introduced following the Ministerial Decree of May 6, 1994, and was printed by the Bank of Italy's Printing Works in Rome.
