About this banknote
The Bank of Zambia issued the 10,000 kwacha banknote in 2012 as part of its standard circulation currency. This denomination was first introduced in 1992 and continued to be issued until 2012. The 2012 issue was printed by Giesecke & Devrient.
The obverse of the banknote features an African fish eagle perched on a branch, the Musuku tree (Uapaca kirkiana), and a flying white dove as a see-through register.
