About this banknote
The Bulgarian National Bank issued the 100 leva banknote in 1916, during the reign of King Ferdinand I. This series was produced by the Reichsdruckerei in Berlin, Germany, with a total of 4,000,000 notes printed.
The obverse features the Bulgarian coat of arms at the top center, with the denomination "100" in vignettes at each corner. The reverse displays the coat of arms on the left and the numeral "100" in a decorative vignette on the right. The banknote measures 185 x 120 mm and was demonetized on May 5, 1924.
