About this banknote
The Bank of Estonia (Eesti Pank) issued the 100-krooni banknote in 1935 as part of the 1928–1940 series. This series was introduced following the establishment of the kroon as Estonia's currency on September 1, 1928, replacing the mark at a rate of 100 marks to 1 kroon.
The obverse features a blacksmith working at an anvil on the left, with the denomination "100" in an ornate guilloche on the right. The reverse displays Estonia's coat of arms with three lions, surrounded by floral and guilloche patterns. The note measures 180 x 102 mm and was printed by the State Printing Office (Riigi Trükikoda) in Tallinn.
