About this banknote
The Central Bank of Sri Lanka issued the 10 Rupees banknote (Pick 108a) on November 15, 1995. This release was part of the ongoing Sri Lanka Heritage series, which began in 1991 and continued through various revisions until 2010. The 1995 revision introduced an enhanced latent image security feature at the lower center of the obverse side.
The obverse of the banknote features a Sinhalese Chinze at the right. The reverse side displays a painted stork at the top left, the Presidential Secretariat building in Colombo, and flowers in the lower foreground. The note measures 122 x 61 mm and was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co.
