The Banco Central de Chile issued the 50 pesos banknote in 1981, marking the final release of this denomination in that series. This series featured two signature varieties: one with signatures from Alvaro Bardón Muñoz and Carlos Molina Orrego, and another with signatures from Sergio de la Cuadra Fabres and Carlos Molina Orrego.
