About this banknote
The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (Banco Central de la República Argentina) issued the 50 pesos banknote (Pick 301) between 1976 and 1978. This series was introduced during a period of economic transition, replacing earlier notes that included legal authorizations on their face.
The obverse features a portrait of General José de San Martín on the right, accompanied by oak and olive branches. The reverse depicts the Las Termas de Reyes (Hot Springs of Kings) hotel in Jujuy. The banknote measures 155 x 75 mm and was printed by Casa de Moneda de la Nación. It was demonetized on April 1, 1982.
