About this banknote
The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic issued the 50 australes banknote in 1988 as part of the "Austral" series introduced in 1985. This series was implemented under Finance Minister Juan Vital Sourrouille's Austral Plan, which commenced on June 15, 1985, aiming to stabilize the Argentine economy.
