About this banknote
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issued the 50-dollar bearer cheque on August 1, 2006, as part of the second dollar series (ZWN). This series was introduced during a currency reform campaign known as Operation Sunrise, which redenominated the Zimbabwean dollar at a ratio of 1,000 to 1.
The front of the note features the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe's logo, incorporating the Chiremba Balancing Rocks near Harare. The reverse depicts Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River. The note measures 148 x 74 mm and has a watermark of the Zimbabwe Bird.
