The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issued the 200,000-dollar bearer cheque on July 1, 2007, during the period of the Second Zimbabwean Dollar (ZWN). This denomination was introduced as part of a series of emergency bearer cheques to address the country's escalating hyperinflation.
The front of the note features the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe's logo, incorporating the Chiremba Balancing Rocks in Epworth near Harare. The reverse depicts the Hwange Thermal Power Station.
