The Banco Central de Venezuela issued the 5 bolívares banknote (Pick 89d) on February 3, 2011, as part of the 2007 series. This series was introduced following the currency redenomination in 2008, which replaced the bolívar with the bolívar fuerte at a rate of 1,000 to 1.
