The Central Bank of Venezuela issued the 100 bolívares banknote (Pick 93i) on June 23, 2015, as part of the 2007 series. This series was introduced to replace the previous currency, the bolívar, with the bolívar fuerte, following a monetary reform aimed at simplifying transactions and combating inflation.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of Simón Bolívar, the prominent South American liberator. The reverse side depicts two red siskin birds (Carduelis cucullata) and a view of El Ávila National Park, highlighting Venezuela's rich biodiversity.
