About this banknote
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issued the 200,000,000-dollar banknote in 2008 as part of the Third Dollar series, introduced to address escalating hyperinflation. This series commenced on 29 September 2008 and included denominations up to 100 trillion dollars by January 2009.
The obverse of the banknote features the Chiremba Balancing Rocks in Epworth, a recurring motif in Zimbabwean currency. The reverse displays the Parliament House and the National Heroes Acre monument in Harare. Measuring 148 x 74 mm, the note was printed by Fidelity Printers and Refiners in Harare and signed by Dr. Gideon Gono, Governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
