About this banknote
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe issued the 1 Dollar banknote (Pick 65) in 2007 as part of the 2007–2008 "Chiremba Rocks" series. This series was prepared in October 2006 for the second phase of Operation Sunrise, which was later abandoned. The banknotes were eventually released on August 1, 2008, during the redenomination of the Zimbabwean dollar.
The obverse of the banknote features the Chiremba Balancing Rocks in Epworth near Harare. The reverse depicts Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River and a Cape buffalo. The note measures 134 x 68 mm and is printed in claret color. It includes security features such as a windowed security thread with demetalized "RBZ 1" and a watermark of the Zimbabwe Bird with an electrotype "1".
