About this banknote
The Bulgarian National Bank issued the 1000 leva banknote in 1929. This note was part of the 1928 ND Issue series, printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd. (TDLR) in London.
The obverse features the coat of arms on the left and a portrait of Tsar Boris III in military uniform on the right. The reverse depicts a view of one of the Seven Rila Lakes. The note measures 184 x 92 mm and was signed by Ivanov and Nachev.
