Banknote description

The banknote is a 1000 leva issued in Bulgaria in 1929. It is cataloged under Pick number 53. The dimensions of the note are 182 x 85 mm.

The front side features the inscription "1929. 5HG EURZQ RQ OLJKW JUHHQ DQG WDQ XQGHUSULQW" along with "Кинг Борис" on the right and arms on the left. The back design depicts a mountain lake. The signatures present are those of Ivanov and Nachev.

About this banknote

The Bulgarian National Bank issued the 1000 leva banknote in 1929. This note was part of the 1928 ND Issue series, printed by Thomas De La Rue & Co. Ltd. (TDLR) in London.

The obverse features the coat of arms on the left and a portrait of Tsar Boris III in military uniform on the right. The reverse depicts a view of one of the Seven Rila Lakes. The note measures 184 x 92 mm and was signed by Ivanov and Nachev.
