The National Bank of Romania issued the 100 lei banknote (Pick 21) between 1910 and 1929. This series was introduced on January 14, 1910, during the reign of King Carol I (1881–1914). The banknote was designed by Georges Duval and engraved by Léon Henri Ruffe.
