About this banknote
The National Bank of Albania (Banka Kombëtare e Shqipnis) issued the 100 Franga banknote in 1940 during the Italian occupation (1939–1943). This series was introduced to align Albania's currency with Italian financial systems following the occupation.
The obverse features a peasant woman seated on sheaves, holding a sickle in her right hand, with a green double-headed eagle at the center.
