The Bank of Guatemala issued the 10 quetzales banknote (Pick 54d) on January 3, 1968, as part of a series authorized on February 18, 1959. This series was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company, Limited, and featured the signatures of José Rivas, Gilberto Estrada, and Gildardo Dominguez.
