About this banknote
The Central Bank of Egypt issued the 10-pound banknote (Pick 41) between 1961 and 1965. This series was introduced on November 27, 1961, during the period of the United Arab Republic (1958–1971). The note was printed by Bradbury Wilkinson and Company in the United Kingdom.
The obverse features a dark green and dark brown design on a multicolored underprint, with the mask of King Tutankhamun prominently displayed on the right side. The reverse is brown and includes the denomination and issuing authority. The watermark consists of the Eagle of Salah El-Din, which served as the national emblem during that era. This banknote was demonetized and is no longer in circulation.
