The National Bank of Egypt issued the 10-pound banknote (Pick 32) between November 1, 1952, and May 31, 1960. This series was introduced following the Egyptian Revolution of 1952, which led to the establishment of the Republic of Egypt in 1953.
The obverse features a red and lilac design with a depiction of King Tutankhamun's mask on the right. The reverse showcases ruins, with two sphinxes flanking the Karnak temple ruins, including pillars and bas-relief carvings. The watermark is a sphinx. This note was printed by Bradbury Wilkinson and Company in the United Kingdom.
