About this banknote

The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic issued the 10 Pesos Argentinos banknote in 1983 as part of a monetary reform that introduced the peso argentino, replacing the previous peso ley at a rate of 1 peso argentino = 10,000 pesos ley.

The obverse features a portrait of General José de San Martín on the right side. The reverse depicts the Iguazu Falls at the center. The banknote measures 155 x 75 mm and was printed by Casa de Moneda, Buenos Aires. It was demonetized on December 1, 1987.
