About this banknote
The Central Bank of the Argentine Republic issued the 10 pesos banknote (Pick #265) between 1942 and 1954, under the authority of Law No. 12,155 dated March 28, 1935. This series featured eight signature varieties and was released in Series A through C.
The obverse of the note displays a red portrait of General José de San Martín in uniform on the right side. The reverse features a meeting scene. The banknote measures 148 x 74 mm and includes a watermark depicting either a large or small head of General Manuel Belgrano. This series was demonetized on January 31, 1975.
