The Banco de la Nación Argentina issued the 10 centavos banknote on November 1, 1891, under Law No. 2707 of August 21, 1890. This issuance was part of a series of low-denomination notes introduced during the presidency of Carlos Pellegrini (1890–1892) to address the country's economic needs.
