About this banknote

The Italian Ministry of the Treasury issued the 10 Lire banknote (Pick 20) in 1915, during the reign of King Vittorio Emanuele III. This series was authorized by the decree of April 10, 1915, and remained in circulation until December 28, 1917.

The obverse features a portrait of King Umberto I (1844–1900) within a medallion, with the inscription "Biglietto di Stato" and the denomination "DIECI lire." The reverse displays the numeral "10" inside an oval. The banknote measures 113 × 69 mm and was printed by the Officina Governativa Carte-Valori in Torino.
