About this banknote

The Central Bank of Chile issued the 1 Peso banknote (Pick #90) on March 3, 1943. This provisional note was introduced under the law enacted on that date, which established its value as one-tenth of a Condor.

The obverse features blue text on a yellow underprint, with the inscription "BILLETE PROVISIONAL BANCO CENTRAL DE CHILE UN PESO CONVERTIBLE EN ORO CONFORME A LA LEY 3 DE MARZO DE 1943 UN DECIMO DE CONDOR."
