The Danmarks Nationalbank issued the 10-krone banknote on 14 October 1952, as part of the 1952 series. This series was introduced to replace earlier banknotes and featured updated designs and security features.
The front of the banknote displays a portrait of Hans Christian Andersen on the left and an illustration of white storks in a nest on the right. The reverse features a depiction of Egeskov Windmill, located in Kværndrup Parish on the island of Funen, drawn by illustrator Ib Andersen. This banknote, measuring 125 x 65 mm, was withdrawn from circulation on 31 December 1954.
