About this banknote
The Banco Central del Paraguay issued the 50,000 guaraníes banknote in 2007. This note was part of a series introduced to support the modernization of the country's currency and included enhanced security features. Germán Rojas Irigoyen served as the president of the bank at the time of the note's introduction.
The front side of the banknote features a portrait of Agustín Pío Barrios, a renowned Paraguayan guitarist and composer.
