About this banknote
The Banco Central del Paraguay issued the 5000 guaranies banknote in 1952. This series was introduced following the implementation of Decreto Ley No. 18 on March 25, 1952, aimed at managing the national currency and financial system effectively.
The front side of the banknote features a portrait of Don Carlos Antonio López. It carries the inscriptions "Banco Central del Paraguay" and "cinco mil guaranies." The back side depicts the Palacio de los López, one of Paraguay's important government buildings. The note was printed by Thomas De La Rue & Company Limited.
