About this banknote
The Danmarks Nationalbank issued the 50-krone banknote on 25 August 2005, completing the security enhancement of the 1997 banknote series. This upgrade introduced a hologram and fluorescent colors to improve counterfeit resistance.
The front of the banknote features a portrait of Danish author Karen Blixen, accompanied by floral motifs. The reverse displays a centaur stone relief from Landet Church on the island of Tåsinge. The hologram alternately shows a flower, the Roman numeral L, and the figure 50.
