About this banknote

The National Bank of Poland (Narodowy Bank Polski) issued this 5 zlotych banknote dated March 1, 1990. Intended as part of the Fourth Zloty series, the note was printed in Germany but was withdrawn before circulation due to insufficient security features. In 1996, the banknotes were overprinted with "NIEOBIEGOWY" (non-circulating) and released to collectors.

The front of the note features the Town Hall in Zamość on the right and the national arms on the left. The reverse displays the Order of Grunwald on the left. The watermark consists of the national arms.
