About this banknote
The Copenhagen Assignation, Exchange, and Loans Bank (Kurantbanken i Kjøbenhavn) issued the 5 Rigsdaler Courant banknote in 1799. This series, introduced between 1786 and 1800, featured anti-counterfeiting text added vertically on the right side of the note.
The front of the banknote displays a large "V" on the left side, denoting the denomination of five rigsdaler. The note measures 185 × 110 mm and was printed on blue paper. It was demonetized after its period of circulation.
