About this banknote
The Central Bank of Kenya issued the 200 shilling banknote (Pick 49b) on April 1, 2006. This note is part of the 2005–2010 series, which reintroduced the portrait of Kenya's first president, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, on the obverse.
