The Tesouro Nacional of Brazil issued the 20 cruzeiros banknote (Pick 160) between 1955 and 1961. This series, known as "Estampa 2A," was printed by Thomas de la Rue in London. The note features the signatures of Claudionor de Souza Lemos and Eugênio Gudin Filho.
The obverse displays a portrait of Manoel Deodoro da Fonseca, Brazil's first president (1889–1891), within a decorated frame, flanked by the numeral "20." The reverse features an allegorical representation of the Republic, based on a painting by Cadmo Fausto de Souza. This banknote was demonetized on February 12, 1967.
