About this banknote
The Central Bank of Bolivia issued the 2 bolivianos banknote in 1987, following the enactment of Law 901 on November 28, 1986. This law introduced the second boliviano, replacing the peso boliviano at a rate of one million to one.
The front of the note features a portrait of Antonio Vaca Díez on the right and the national coat of arms at the lower center. The reverse depicts palm trees and buildings in the center. The banknote includes a solid security thread with the printed word "BOLIVIA" and a watermark of Simón Bolívar.
